You are a long term reader of mvdirona.com. Thanks for the feedback. Your right, the Drake passage is infamous for the rough ride it frequently offers but, at least on the trip south, we got lucky and it wasn’t bad at all. We’ll see if our luck continues on the return trip to Argentina.

The Nat Geo Endurance is an upgrade over Dirona in some dimensions but Dirona is still an Amazing boat when it comes to freedom and independence. Dirona delivered the best decade of our lives but, as you guessed, we’re really enjoying the Endurance. And, when breaking through multiple feet of ice, it’s definitely the right ship for the task.
