Looks amazing! Happy New Year 2023!
Happy holidays to you as well!
Wow! Quite a ship and quite an excursion, interested to hear how your Drake Passage transit was in future posts. Thank you for sharing this adventure. Have followed Dirona back in the 4087 days. Great reference for us when cruising coastal BC.
You are a long term reader of mvdirona.com. Thanks for the feedback. Your right, the Drake passage is infamous for the rough ride it frequently offers but, at least on the trip south, we got lucky and it wasn’t bad at all. We’ll see if our luck continues on the return trip to Argentina.
That is quite the upgrade from Dirona! Merry Christmas – looking forward to your photos from this trip!
The Nat Geo Endurance is an upgrade over Dirona in some dimensions but Dirona is still an Amazing boat when it comes to freedom and independence. Dirona delivered the best decade of our lives but, as you guessed, we’re really enjoying the Endurance. And, when breaking through multiple feet of ice, it’s definitely the right ship for the task.
